Diese PRS McCarty wurde für einen PRS-Mitarbeiter gefertigt und zeichnet sich durch höchste Spezifikationen für Gitarren der Artist-Klasse aus. Sie verfügt über einen einteiligen Mahagonikorpus und eine Decke aus geflammtem Ahorn in Künstlerqualität. Das Griffbrett ist aus Ebenholz und mit Abalone-Einlagen versehen. Die silber-goldene Hybrid-Hardware rundet das Gesamtbild perfekt ab.
Die McCarty ist ideal für alle, die Gitarren mit kürzerer Mensur bevorzugen und stellt im Allgemeinen eine Alternative zur Gibson Les Paul dar. Im Gegensatz zur LP ist sie deutlich leichter, der Hals hat eine asymmetrische, äußerst komfortable Form und die Gitarre ist insgesamt perfekt ausbalanciert. Sie besitzt die Mitten, die jeder PRS-Fan sofort erkennt: präsent, sehr durchsetzungsstark im Mix und mit einem klaren, ausdrucksstarken Klang unter Verzerrung.
