Angel is probably the most modern of the Tom Anderson Guitarworks lineup, featuring 24 frets and a long-horn, contoured body shape. With an even-taper neck profile, a compound 12-14" fretboard radius, stainless steel frets, and a two-post floating bridge, it is a creation of contemporary luthier art.

This particular model can attract not only with its looks. Alder body with a maple neck is a well-known combo used widely in Stratocasters and superstrats. It gives you tonal balance and articulate tonality. The caramel maple neck has really appealing look and a very soft feel of a satin finish. The fretboard though, is an exotic wood - ziricote. Tonally and visually it reminds Brasilian Rosewood. The neck profile is comfortable and familiar, the standard version of Tom Anderson's even-taper. Nut width is slightly wider than usual with 1 11/16" width.  Overall, the combination of neck profile, compound radius, stainless steel jumbo frets, and wider nut makes this Angel an extremely comfortable guitar.

The pickup combination chosen for this guitar is an HSH set of HF1 / SF1 / HF3 pickups. Both humbuckers are splittable, with the ability to engage the neck and bridge under a push-pull pot. The neck pickup has a nice round, fat punch without muddiness, split positions are quite stratish with more of a compressed, thick feel. Bridge wants to rock! They are not as aggressive as other Anderson pickups and even though they are hot and ready to rock, they still have a touch of vintage spirit.
