Nexus Custom Stratocaster 1998 (2024 refresh)
The Nexus Stratocaster guitar was handcrafted from over 100-year-old wood by a
world-class luthier, Jacek Kobylski, a certified master luthier. Since the early 1980s.
He has worked in the USA, Belgium, and finally in Poland, so he has about 40 years of experience in building, repairing, and servicing instruments.
Jacek Kobylski is the inventor of, among other things, the spherical bridge, the low-frequency contouring system frequencies in bass guitars, and the granite fingerboard. The waiting time for a new order's realization at NEXUS is nearly 2 years.
NEXUS guitars are played by many well-known musicians, such as Marcus Miller, Dean Brown, Darrel Jones, Mike Porcaro, Stefan Ude, Bert Embrechts, and many more.
This guitar was built in 1998 and completely renovated by Nexus workshop in 2024. The guitar was refinished with a thin nitro lacquer. The electronics were completely redone, and overall, the guitar is in new condition.
Tonally, it's a brilliant sounding Stratocaster with a sweet, 60s-like sound. The basswood gives great tonal balance, while the maple neck and Brazilian rosewood combination gives it a very balanced tone with enough punch and dynamics to satisfy even the most demanding guitar aficionados. The body has a classic stratocaster shape however, the neck profile is shaped much more modern with a thinner feel to it, which combined with 10 inch fretboard radius gives much more modern, ergonomic feel. The action is silky smooth; slides, bends, and other phrasing techniques come with zero friction.
If you're looking for a flawless stratocaster with a vintage vibe together with a modern feel, huge tone, and effortless play - look no further!
