Haar guitars are made in the Netherlands and are known as boutique instruments in the mid-price range. With their workmanship and sound, they can boldly compete with American, much more expensive products.
This particular model is a nod to fans of a more vintage configuration (6-point tremolo, thick Fat C profile neck, nitro finish), but bears the stamp of modernity in the form of the HSS pickup configuration (excellent Suhr pickups) or Japanese Gotoh locking tuning keys.
Swamp ash body and rosewood maple neck are a proven recipe for simultaneous delicate treble with pronounced midrange and tight bass. The neck is aimed toward proponents of thick profiles, it's not that far from 52 U.
Sonically, it's a classic Stratocaster with a bit more possibilities thanks to the bridge humbucker. It is reminiscent of vintage Xotic or K-Line guitars. And this is undoubtedly a source of pride for Haar.
