The McCarty model has the sweet, vintage soul combined with quality and precision for which PRS known for. It's a tribute to a person who helped Paul Reed Smith start off his own brand back in the 1980s - Ted McCarty.

Equipped with dual 58-15LT humbuckers, a two-piece bridge and a vintage tuners all put in a singlecut body, it might look familiar. Borrowing from the tradition of a short-scaled Gibson Les Paul, it incorporates the techniques Paul polished and perfected during his career as a master builder. The sound is rich, sweet and defined. Also the coil split sound is no joke. The neck is chunky and nods towards the passionates of vintage guitars (think about '58 Les Paul profile).
