Biorąc go do ręki od razu czuć jakość wykonania – w każdym szczególe począwszy od pięknego kształtu, usłojenia, precyzji lutniczego kunsztu po dźwięk wydobywający się z samego instrumentu. Ma też odpowiednią wagę – waży więcej niż PRS-a i nie stara się udawać PRS-a – sam dźwięk zbliża się do Les Paula ze znakomitą klarownością i przyjemnym atakiem. Pasek Abalone biegnie przez środek gitary. Abalone jest również używany do znaczników podstrunnicy.
