The hard maple neck with compound radius fingerboard (10"-12") is engineered for effortless playability across all 22 frets. The compound radius starts flatter at the nut (10") for comfortable chord work, gradually curving to 12" at the upper frets for smooth bending and lead playing. Premium Jescar FW-51100 Nickel Silver frets provide exceptional feel and longevity.

SAYTONE Hand-Wound Pickups: The Secret Weapon

Every S-622 is equipped with SAYTONE hand-wound pickups, crafted entirely in-house by master winders using vintage techniques and modern materials. 

Scream/Sledge α Set (Standard): enamel wire single coils (Scream) in neck and middle positions paired with the Sledge α humbucker at the bridge. Minimal volume difference between positions creates a cohesive, articulate sound across all pickup selections.
