In the neck position it is warm but not dull, the sound thickens on the overdrive. In the middle position you can hear a distinct quack, which is characteristic of good Les Pauls, and under the bridge you get a solid kick in the midrange. All with a sensitivity of proper PAF-style pickups.
It won't break your back, the neck is quite thick (after all, it's a '58), in the living room it will be a beautiful decoration, and on stage it will be a faithful companion of rock adventures.
If you love LPs from the late 1950s and can tear yourself away from the G logo tag - then Lester is for you.
