Fender Custom Shop 2019 - Postmodern Journeyman Relic

A modern revision of a vintage Custom Shop Stratocaster at its finest. This guitar contains a combination of unique features found in Strats of different eras. The body is made of very light, sorted alder. The neck is rift-sawn one-piece maple with an oval C profile (contrary to the modern C shape). The back of the neck is stripped of lacquer, making it great under the fingers and smooth with no friction. The fingerboard is a thick piece of dark rosewood, with a modern 12" radius. The frets are nickel 6105s.

Hardware is more vintage: 6-point tremolo and vintage tuners, they keep the guitar in tune perfectly. Pickups are a hand-wound combo of 69 (neck) / Fat 50 (middle) / Texas Special (bridge) and make the sound balanced, and dynamic with no sign of shrill.

Taking this instrument into your hands, you feel like holding something special. Even at the touch, it brings the spirit of a vintage instrument, with the tasty relic, very lightweight and resonant. The dynamics of the guitar are absolutely amazing, it has the punch, the twang, and the kick without being overwhelming. It just stays where it should be - in the spotlight of your band's mix.
